Question...
"Could you direct me to a simple piping expansion joint for a vent pipe? The vent pipe I am referring crosses a building seismic expansion joint that will move horizontally. For water and gas pipes, I am using "Mextraflex" expansion joints. For storm and waste, I am using "Flextend" double and single ball expansion joints. However, the "Flextend" expansion joint seems excessive for a vent pipe application. The vent will not convey any liquid. It seems that some sort of gas tight piping sleeve would do the job. I contacted Zurn rep and inquired about installing their Z-190 vertical expansion joint horizontally. The rep stated that he didn't see any reason why that would not work. Can you point me in the right direction ? "

"Fernco" offers a simple, inexpensive expansion joint made especially for vent piping. Fernco has a website with some information. You should be able to get more info through your local rep. http://www.fernco.com/home.html
